How to assign a new group into Confluence

How do I assign (enroll) a new group into Confluence? Does Confluence recognize our corporate Outlook email groups?

Depends on what you have set up.  What is the user directory?

(Confluence doesn't care about email groups at all, unless you've set up something for yourself.  Most people use a user directory of some sort and feed that into Exchange, rather than the other way around)
