How to add 2 branches to LDAP Base DN

Libor Šmíd July 30, 2020

Hello,

I would like to ask for hel with LDAP connection settings in confuence.

There are two branches in our LDAP, where are users that needs to be add to the confluence:

OU=Users 1,DC=company,DC=ad

OU=Users 2,DC=company,DC=ad

Is it possible to somehow add these branches to the field Base DN?

Or how to set the connection to search users in these two branches? Currantly, the value in the Base DN field is DC=company,DC=ad, but there are some troubles with duplicate users in this whole scope (temps and so on).

Thank you in advance.

Libor

It's not possible to have 2 different OU branch in 1 user directory. Here's the feature request ticket:

The workaround is to create multiple user directories and assign the base DN to each user directories.

About the duplicate users, you can utilize the ldap filters to ensure that you're not synchronizing temps.
