How do you create a read only user in confluence ondemand

Steven Seese August 22, 2012

There doesn't seem to be a way to deny edit access to an atlassian ondemand confluence user. Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi Steven,

You can change the Space Permissions for this issue. You could just navigate to Administration >> Wiki >> Permissions >> Space Permissions. From there you can revoke the permission or customize it.

Hope this information helps. Cheers.

Hi,

Are you referring to a particular Confluence space? If so you need to set who has edit permissions per each Confluence space. You should be able to set different users permissions, including a browse only permission in Space Permissions.

Hi, refer to https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Configuring+Default+Space+Permissions for instructions on configuring space permissions.
