How do you archive articles in your knowledge base?

We have several articles that we don't want to delete but need to archive so our employees don't use them for reference since they are out of date. But, I cannot figure out how to archive articles. Does any one have any tips?

Some suggestions to consider:

  • Create an archiving space that is flagged as archive in space settings and move the document there - this has the benefit of filtering out of search results
  • Change the document title and add the word "ARCHIVED" or similar
  • Create a user-macro with some boilerplate text to notify users that the content is archived, perhaps with links to current content (you might be able to automate this using labels)
