How do I make the first row of an imported table a sortable heading row?

I cut and pasted a table from Word to Confluence v5.8.4. The first row is not a sortable heading row. How do I make it a sortable heading row?

Or create the table first with just two rows - that should then automatically give you the sortable heading row

then copy your Word into the second row

Much easier. Good idea Rodney. Thanks, that worked.

answered my own question.  create a small empty just above the table you created.

Look at the differences between the <thead> and <tbody> tags and the <td> and <th> tags.

Tag your table heading row as Confluence did theirs.
