How do I left justify entire sections of text (that are not in tables) on Confluence pages when the page also includes tables?
For example, when I create a page, parts of the page that are only text are left aligned (I've used the text alignment button on the top of the page). Then I insert a table. When I publish the page, the text (that was previously left aligned and is not part of the table), now displays in the center of the page.
In the picture below, I'm referring to the titles above the table. I'd like these to be left justified.
I see that there were several questions on this in 2019 and several requests to Atlassian for this to be fixed, but I cannot find that this issue was fixed. I'd appreciate any solutions available. Thanks!
Hi @wendy seemann ,
To left align the texts inside the Table, you need to select the whole table and then click on align button on the Editor menu bar.
If required, you can align each column or row. All depends on what you select
Thanks Rilwan for your response. I'm asking about text that is outside of the table (and is already left aligned), but the alignment then becomes centered upon publish. I've edited my question. Thanks!

Hi @wendy seemann ,
In page edit mode, Keep the cursor on the start of the line and hit the left align as shown in my first response.

Hi @Rilwan Ahmed ,
When I try your suggestion, it shows the table is already aligned left but visually is still in the center. I tried again with a new page, and the align left button is grayed out.

Hi @n0270547 ,
The left align is for texts inside the table. Select the whole table and then click left align and see if it works.

Left, Center and Right alignment is there when editing. If you need justify, there's work arounds posted by the community. Here's a few articles:

Thanks for your response Benjamin. Unfortunately these links reference my issue, but don't solve it. These include several requests to Atlassian to fix the issue. I've edited my question to be more specific. Thanks!

I figured it out. See my response at:
This will allow you to left justify non-table page text, and additionally control table position centered, left justified, table width, column widths.
All with a super kludgy non-intuitative interface that feels like a beta at best.
