How do I format JIRA tickets bulk created from a Confluence table?

Caroline Wood April 27, 2016

I want to create a lot of tickets from information stored in a Confluence table. It's easy to do that by highlighting words in a Confluence table and click create ticket.

Currently the only info that it can pull out is summary and description.

The description is currently truncating after 2.5 lines. I need it to pull all the text from the table and ideally format it the way it is in the table. How can I at minimum get it to pull in all the text in the Confluence table into the description?

Also would be great to pull in priority and an associated epic too. Is that possible?

Hi Caroline,

persononally I would still put the info into confluence and export to excel as a CSV after some fiddling in between and import multiple lines of data straight into JIRA atleast then you can map the required fields correctly.

Though try this if you are on a version below 5.5 https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/confluence.extra.jira/versions

Maybe take a look here for more info:
