How do I force open an IE window from Confluence if our Confluence is on Firefox?

Todd Domingo May 24, 2012

Our Confluence is on Firefox (and it has to be) but there is an appication I have to link to that MUST run on IE. Is there a way for me to create a link where it will open the link in a new window and in Internet explorer instead of it opening on Firefox?

It's not possible, so you have to just tell your users. Create an interstitial link page that only forwards correctly in IE. for all other browsers, display a friendly message ordering them to change browsers.

No. The choice of browser is up to the user's machine.
