How do I disable those annoying "whats new" feature pop ups?

Christ on a horse. How does one disable those annoying pop-ups notifying you of the 5 million new features no one ever asked for? I don't need the hand holding. The pop ups disrupt the workflow. Do people actually read these or do the Atlassian developers assume everyone using Atlassian products is mentally challenged (I suppose we have to be, if we use Atlassian products).

Unfortunately Atlassian has decided that users must endure the popups.  You can't disable them.
