I am collecting the team's travel dates in a confluence table. To ensure a good overview I'd like to add a "default-sorting" (ASC) to the table's first column (the date). The result should be a sorted table when viewed and (that is no problem) a unsorted table when edited.
Is that possible?
We've got an open source plugin that is both available and maintained for free, the Table Enhancer for Confluence. It can do exactly what you asked for (just define the
sortColumn parameter) and much more.
The documentation is here: https://tngtech-oss.atlassian.net/wiki/display/TABENH/Tableenhancer+for+Confluence+Home
Unfortunately, Confluence does not have such feature at the moment. We do have an improvement request regarding this issue here:
Please give your vote on this issue to raise the popularity of the request. I have added my vote as well to help increase the popularity of it.
