How do I copy and paste a table from an older page to a new page (with new editor)?

The new version of the editor does not seem to recognize tables from pages originally made with the old editor. Why is this?

When copying and pasting a table from the old editor to the new editor, you'll want to make sure to select the entire table, and not only the text inside the table. That may mean that you need to start your selection a line or two before or below the table, like this:

If I were to only select the text inside of the cells, then it only pastes the text of one cell. Is this what you are experiencing? If not, what is happening when you try to paste a table? Is the table nested?

Another option is to grab the table using Storage format. When viewing a page: . . . > View Storage Format

You can then use a source editor add-on to paste the source into the appropriate place on a page.
