How do I configure the Site Home Page

I've looked at https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Configuring+the+Site+Home+Page but when I go to General Configuration I can edit the Site Home Page but the list doesn't include the Space Directory page.  How do I add it to the list?

Another thought would be to create a page that has a user macro that lists the spaces that a user has access to ... your own space directory. Or you could point to a page with a user macro to redirect the user to the space directory.

Not really, that's not a very helpful page.  However, I found https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/10470  Maybe I can fix it myself.

You could do something like that, but every time you upgrade you would have to remake the change.

Neither of those gives me what I want.  How do you make suggestions?  Could this be added as an option in future?

Hi,

Confluence can only configured to use Dashboard or Space Home page as its Site home page. So it is necessary for you to configure a specific page to be the space home page if you want it as a site page. Please let us know if I misunderstand your question.
