How do I compile a list of the top viewed and most edited spaces

The easiest way is to enable usage tracking:

but please be aware that it only starts collecting statistics from the moment it is activated, so you won't be able to get any historic data from before that point.

Archiving Plugin creates you a report about edited vs. non-edited pages, and viewed vs. non-viewed pages per space. It also calculates a total per space category and the grand total.

These metrics will also be used to automate content reviews and archiving unused pages.
