How can I stop notifying everyone watching the page when I make a comment in a pdf?

Every time I make a comment in a pdf file that is in a confluence page, everyone watching that page gets an email notification. I use confluence for research so I do a lot of comments. I don't want to ask everyone watching the page to stop doing so however. I know when you update a page you have a check box that lets you not notify everyone. Is there a similar option for comments in a pdf page?

Thanks

There is no option in Confluence to supress the notification when you comment on an attachment. Ironically, that functionality has been reported as broken in some versions: Notification isn't sent to page/space watchers, when user adds/edits a comment on an attached file

Thanks Ann,

Hopefullly they will add this feature eventually. It would make my research way less annoying to everyone else watching the page!
