How can I restrict an attachment so it can only be edited by one user at a time?

I've added an attachment in Confluence that is to be updated by each member of our project team. However, multiple users are allowed to edit the document at the same time rather. Can I restrict the attachment so that it cannot be opened to edit when someone else already has it open?

The Arsenal Lockpoint plugin might help you.. You can lock the attachment when editing and unlock when completed and if someone has left it locked by mistake an admin can perform a forced unlock or inform the user to unlock it also..
