How can I freeze a parent folder so the hierarchy will not be changed

Kristina Radeva August 26, 2019

I would like to be able to stop people from moving the pages around. We have a structure which should be followed, so is there a way for parent pages not to be moved by everyone. I would like people to be able to fill them and to upload files in them, just not to change the hierarchy of the pages.

@Kristina Radeva Unfortunately, if someone has edit permissions to a page then they also have the ability  to move the page. There is no option for locking down the ability to move a page.

You can actually use RESTRICTION option in space and also MOVE permission and also the Move page permission can be be customized .https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/page-restrictions-139414.html

Hi Hasna,

Thank you very much for your respond. Therefore, from the links that you sent me, I don't think there is a way to restrict people of changing the hierarchy of the parent pages.

Please let me know if I missed something. :)
