Using the Database migration guide, I am trying to migrate from our Test Demo H2 database to a SQL database.
Server 2012 R2
Confluence 6.15.4 is already running the server just fine.
installed a new instance of Confluence 6.15.4 in another folder, and using another port number.
Configured Database on SQL Server per the guide. during the configuration was able to test the connection to the SQL server no error, hit next, and after about 5 minutes I get the above http 500 error.
SQL server is 2017 not sure how to continue, now going to the web interface for Confluence I get that http 500, please note the demo version of Confluence is still working.
Thank you
Hello @Megan Wachtendonk !
As I understand, you are having problems with a new Confluence installation using SQL Server 2017.
This behavior can be caused by a few reasons, but to get us started we will need more details on the error itself.
For the objective of acquiring more details about the issue, I will need to ask you a few questions. Here we go:
- Could you share a screenshot of the error that you see when you try to access Confluence?
- Is there any error on the Confluence log file?
- If there are errors in your logs during or after Confluence start up, would it be possible for you to share them with us?
Be careful when sharing the screenshots of the error. The community is an open space, everyone can see everything that is posted here. Do not share sensitive data with your screenshots or error excerpts.
If you need some guidance on how to find and work with Confluence logs, we have this document:
There is also the possibility that you are affected by the situation described under this document:
