Get the full content of the confluence page in the notification mail

paul_finnedison February 15, 2025

Hi all,

I would like to have the full content of a new created page to be sent in the notification mail to people that are mentioned (with the @), or if they are added the first time.

Can this be archived? By configuration or any other trick?

I've noticed that sometimes the content is included (and not only the one line that contains the mentioned name), but I do not understand the pattern behind this.

Is there somewhere a clear explanation about the behavior of the confluence mail notifications - when what is added to the mail?

Hi @paul_finnedison ,

with the standard notification this is not possible in my opinion.

You could create a Confluence Automation:

  • Trigger: "When a page is created" or "When a page is updated"
  • Action: "Send an email"
  • Variable: {content.body.storage}

Or you can try one of these apps:

Kind regards

Mike
