Filter confluence notifications to hipchat room

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Use HipChat and Confluence together

We would like to filter the confluence notifications that are sent to a specific HipChat room. Only changes of a certain page (or subpage) or with a certain label.

That makes a whole lot of sense - Confluence meanwhile features CQL similar to JIRA's JQL, and the latter is used in the JIRA HipChat integration for this very purpose.

I would have expected a resp. feature request to exist already, but surprisingly couldn't find one - here's one that comes close though, which you might want to watch/vote/comment accordingly to raise awareness for this use case:

Given that this issue predates the introduction of CQL, it might well be expanded since it would be covered by a Confluence HipChat integration with CQL.

  • While CQL had been introduced as a developer level API only initially, the Confluence team has meanwhile surfaced CQL filters in the powerful Content by label macro, so adding it to the Confluence HipChat integration would be an obvious and similar powerful choice.
