Exporting and importing a space in Confluence

I am currently full admin/Site administrator and am am not able to import a confluence site XML export. This export is for cloud and from the same instance.

When I go to the space settings there is no option to import ,note this used to be available before the new interface GUI came along .

What else can I check ,going round in circles currently

Have you tried the Confluence settings instead of space settings?

Confluence Home -> Settings -> Administration -> Import Spaces

If you didn't change the wiki base URL you can access those settings on:

https://YOURSUBDOMAIN.atlassian.net/wiki/admin/importspace/importconfluencespace.action

If your export is the whole site and not just a space you can use "Import Site" instead. But be careful with that: almost everything will be replaced with your backup version (other spaces and so on).
