Export big white board to print and make it readable.

Mario Ruiz October 30, 2024

Hi

I have made a big workflow that at the moment i need to export is not readable... even if you zoom at 500% or try to print... the ppp is not enough to be printable and I need to at least print this in a format of A2 /A1 or A0.

Can you please guideme in how to export to have it readble... please don't tell me to hit the 3 dots and export... select the format and is done... that will be a dummy answer.

Thanks in advance

Hi Mario! Sorry to hear that you're struggling with the quality of your large export.

One solution to make it higher resolution is to use tiling - download sections of the flow and re-combine them before printing. We'd recommend using PNG export for this.

Thats not a solution for a software, screenshots,  copy paste and go for paint and then combine there everything..... and hopefully the ppp are enough for the ploter...

Is expected to have in the roadmap a proper export option? something that really could make whiteboards usefull for this needs ?

@Mario Ruiz Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

What file type did you export the board as? Have you tried exporting as PNG or JPG and then opening the result in a graphics program? You might be able to manipulate the image in the graphics program, if needed, and print from there to the page size you want.

Mario Ruiz October 30, 2024

Hi I have tried in all of them, and the result is not acceptable for printing.

If you go for draw.io you can find easyly on the export panel where you can set up the quality on the zoom value.  But this is something related to work so I cannot use that app.

The file will be printed in A0 size... so the resolution on the ppp should be higher otherwise it is a bit blurry.

Can you please let me know how I can proceed? or this is a feature you have in your roadmap? if so, by when do you expect to have it  release?

@Mario Ruiz I don't work for Atlassian, so I cannot answer about the roadmap (but you can look here: https://www.atlassian.com/roadmap/cloud).

This is a community of users, though someone from Atlassian will occasionally respond here.
