The Excel macro "Edit" hyperlink only downloads the spreadsheet. However, the "Edit in Office" hyperlink on the attachments page does open the document in Excel.
Any ideas on this one? It's the exact same URL in both places.

Hi @Robert Egan
Which version do you use for confluence?
There was a change in version about 6, where they introduced confluence with companion app.
Do you use the atlassian companion app?
Regards, Dominic
We are using Confluence 7.11.0, and if the companion app is the default then that is what we are using.
The real mystery is not why it doesn't work, but why it does.
You see, clicking the hyperlink URL from the content page does not work, but clicking the exact same URL from the attachment page does.
Does the content page have some kind of J/S behind it that is causing the URL to somehow be specially handled (like perhaps modifying the "Content-Disposition" HTTP Header)?

This is really strange.
Did you try to copy the URL and paste it in a new tab? Does it works then?
