Error contacting server on Recently Viewed list

Morning,

Can anyone tell me why I get this message when trying to create a link?

"There was an error communicating with the server, please try again later."

I've had this in two different Confluence setups in two different companies. Is this an internal problem, or an Atlassian one (eg, a known bug)?

If you're using it to create links that automatically update, then it's a major pain if you can't use it.

I would try two things:

I haven't seen this particular issue, but I can imagine it is related either to the index or maybe a memory issue.
