Edit, Add and Tools button disappeared in random pages.

Hi,

some of the pages in confluence, the buttons (Edit, Add and Tools) were disappeared for some reason eventhough we have full admistrator rights. Anyone know why is this happening and how can we resolve this problem?

the temporary workaround is that we edit the page with the page ID url that can be found in our history URL field. Please advice.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I found the main reason of this. It's because of the tip macro added in the page. Any idea why is this macro causing the button disappeared?

Couple of things to get us some more information.

1. What browser/s is this with? If you're only using one, try it with some others

2. Can you see if any exceptions are being thrown in the Confluence logs on the server?

3. Use google chrome's developer tools or firefox's firebug to see if any Javascript errors are being thrown when these elements don't appear.
