Easy way of raising version number in Confluence?

Stefan IJff September 12, 2017

Hello Community,

I am looking for an option to quickly and easy raise the value of a release. We have lots of different versions of releases for different customers, and whenever we merge a customer related script, the value raises by one.

Now I want to have a dynamic overwiew on a Confluence page with all customers and their respective release versions.

For example let's say customer_X is on release v5.2.3.20 and we merge 1 script to their release, it becomes v5.2.3.21.

Is there a plugin/ macro that i can insert in the page so i don't have to edit/ save it? Like some sort of button behind the value?

Thanks in advance,

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

I understand you would like to display releases on a Confluence page and have the release versions update automatically.

If the releases are tracked as Jira tickets, perhaps the Jira Chart Macro would work: JIRA Chart Macro.

I look forward to hearing whether that is helpful or how you decide to proceed.

Thanks,
Ann
