Dynamic Site naming/numbering

Flo December 20, 2022

Hi All.

We have a large word document (400+ pages with a lot of pics).

This should be migrated to confluence.

Importing is possible with some tools and Macros.

In word there is a numbering structure with dept of five levels.

I have imprted the doc with three levels.

So my site structure is (excerpt)

1. Txt

2. Txt

    2.1 Txt

         2.1.1 Txt

         2.1.2 Txt

     2.2 Txt

. . .

So there is still some numbering within the sites down to 5th level.

As the document is that large it has to have the numbering

All is ok until there is some reorganization with the chapter names or even adding or removing one site in the middle. Then all below Site Titles and headings have to be renamed  to ne new number. Thats a mess.

I reduced effort using "numbered headings" within the sites but still this has to be manually adjusted and the First three levels have to be touched and renamed.

Is there a solution or a makro that could help renaming the sites itself ... and in best case as well the below numberings dynamically?

@Flo Welcome to the Atlassian community

There is not a dynamic page renaming function within Confluence.  The best thing I was able to find was this app in the marketplace https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1222418/rename-page-descendants?hosting=server&tab=overview
