Does the anchor macro work for content within a table?

I am creating an Index page with frequently searched keywords. Some of these keywords are in tables. I added the anchor macro next to the content and added the link to cross-reference them in the index with page name#anchor name. However, when I click on the link it always lands at the start of the page and not where the keyword is located. I am using Confluence 7.12.0

It does work in tables.  Anchors are case sensitive so you might want to check them and make sure that they match.
