Hi,

In Jira I can display JSON data with "+" "code" correctly formatted

In Confluence I didn't find a solution. 

Is the ConfiDoc macro the only way?

I tried it with this config, but it didn't work as I expected:

You can display formatted JSON on a page by using the Code Snippet macro.

Without a third party app, I don't think you will be able to see a preview from a JSON attachment without clicking on the the attachment icon.
