We're going to use Confluence as INTRANET. So I have created a space "INTRANER" with custom look and feel (theme). Now I'm going to set default url to /Intranet/Home page, so if an employee enter in the browser www.example.com he will be redirected to www.example.com/Intranet/Home/ rather than to Confluence Dashboard. (Note we'll still have dashboard and other project spaces - just Intranet is a start point).
On the Intranet we have such sections as News, Forum, Docs, etc.
I have a task:
1) There is copious doc on mod rewrite module for Apache. Start here: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mod_rewrite.html
2) ...
Part 1) Yes, use URL rewriting.
Part 2) URL rewriting should take care of this, too.
I am accepting that answer, thanks. However could you please have a look at my next question: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/62915/main-page-url-rewrite
