Custom HTML export of a space not exporting comments?

I do want to have an HTML export of a complete space and even though the custom export says it will export comments I don't see them in the resulting Zip file.

Did I miss anything or is there an issue with exporting comments?

Reproduction steps:

- Select Space Settings / Content Tools / Export

- Select HTML and Next

- Select Custom export, tick Include comments

- Export

- Download / unzip

Validation fail 1: Serve unzipped content locally (no good styles, but that's a different problem).  Look for comments on a page that has 18 (valuable) comments: no view

Validation fail 2: Grep for text known to be in a comment.  Not found

Expectation: comments can be seen with html page with the content.
