Hi. I would like to automatically create monthly status reports, that inserts static data from Jira.

What is the most effective way to automatically create pages in confluence based on a specific template, that imports data from Jira without having to manually configure each Jira issue macro to look at a specific time date on each report?

Many thanks

Kristian

An option could be exporting the Jira reports to a PDF document, then attach those to Confluence and display those using the macro.

As the PDF is not updated dynamically, it is essentially a snapshot:

Hello Kristian,

If you’re wanting to create reports from Jira per your example then we would suggest reviewing the default reports first. From reviewing these reports you can find what does or doesn’t work for your needs. Once you have further requirements on what you need within the report you can review creating your own templates with the data you need. If these still do not have what you’re looking for then we would suggest reviewing additional options such as creating your own blueprint or a marketplace app. Further information on reports and blueprints may be found at the following:

For marketplace apps, you may view the following preset search for Atlassian Marketplace | Jira Reports. We would suggest reviewing these apps and testing them within you staging instance before production. Further information on creating a staging instance may be found at Create a staging environment for upgrading Confluence.

I hope this information proves helpful and you’re able to get the reports you need.

Regards,
Stephen Sifers
