Can you confirm with me your Confluence version, and let me know if you're behind a proxy or firewall?
If so, can you bypass the proxy as a test and see if you're able to create the space?
One more thing - can you let me know what is occurring in your Confluence Server Application logs when you attempt to create the space?
Confluence Version is 6.6.1. Same behavior at version 5.10.3 (updated last week).
There is no proxy or firewall behind.
It worked for years without problems on the same constellation. The update from 5.10.3 to 6.6.1 was only made because of this Problem, but without success.
There is no error occurring in the log files.
That's odd; there should definitely have been some message in the logs at that time.
