Create Confluence Action Item from Slack message

Caroline Calhoun October 2, 2024

It seems like it would be easy and useful to be able to create an action item for yourself from a Slack message; for example, if a project has its own channel and something is assigned to you in conversation `/confluence add action item` would be really useful given that Slack is where the majority of this conversation is happening and it doesn't always warrant a Jira ticket.

Hi @Caroline Calhoun

I like the use case.  I looked thru the marketplace and while there are about a dozen or so Slack addons for confluence I did not see one that would create action items.

It's possible that Scriptrunner Connect, may have this functionality, I did not test it.

Looking at it from the slack side, you have:

However at first glance, nothing about action items.

Searching on Slack's marketplace shows a few other possible addons, however, the links were not working for me so I couldn't investigate for you.

Thanks for the investigation!
