Copy/Pasting an image from the clipboard causes a browser crash

a.trezzi February 1, 2021

Hi all,

I've recently noticed this behavior since I moved from a 2015 Macbook pro to a new M1 chipset Macbook pro.

Confluence page in edit mode
I'm trying to paste (cmd+V) an image from the clipboard (cmd+C) from Adobe XD into a table cell.
The OS spin bar appears, the browser (tested on safari and chrome) gets unresponsive.

I have to Force Quit the browser

As a fix, I tried to copy-paste smaller images and it works.

I was doing exactly the same actions on my older laptop without any issue

thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @a.trezzi ,

welcome to the community!

Sadly, we have seen reports like this already, on other OS versions as well.
I specifically heard that browser add-ons can be to blame here.
Could you have a look at this thread and see if you might have a new browser plugin that might cause this?

Hope this helps for you, please let me know if it doesn't!

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see how this issue relates to this thread . Anyway, the issue with pasting images to Jira from clipboard on M1 Mac is still present and very annoying.
