Confluence server requirement

Andy Caan April 13, 2017

Hello, the Confluence world:

The Confluence server hardware requirements are in
https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/server-hardware-requirements-guide-30736403.html

There are various places on the webpage about "space" or "spaces". And there is no unit.

Is that in GB?

Best,

Andy

Hello Andy,

A space refers to the top level organization unit in Confluence. All content goes into a space. If you're familiar with JIRA, it's similar to a JIRA Project (all issues must be in a project). It's there to help you gauge the size of a potential instance but isn't a unit of hardware measurement.

Ok.  Thanks Steckler.  I am new to the Atlassian suite.  When I saw space, by default, disk space came to mind.
