Confluence reactivation and restoring of Confluence pages

I am no expert in Confluence so first I will describe what happened to our Confluence account:

  • My team has been using Confluence for their notes, etc.
  • Yesterday, a colleague of mine accidentally cancelled our subscription.
  • I have raised a ticket to Atlassian requesting to reactivate our subscription and restore pages we have created in Confluence.
  • After raising the ticket, I noticed that I can see Confluence again but the pages we have created are no longer there.

My questions are:

  1. Is it possible to get back the  data we have created in Confluence prior to the cancellation?
  2. Can we do this by ourselves or do we have to wait for Atlassian support to do this for us?
  3. Do they have a number which we can call?

Thank you very much to those who can provide me with their suggestion.

Hey @Richard Dimaandal ! Welcome to the community.

I'm quoting the official docs, you can find the article here: Cancel your site subscription

But like the article states, there are changes being rolled out at the moment. So maybe check which kind of administrative experience applies to your instance.

Recover a site that's been canceled

Once your site has been deactivated (i.e. your site has been taken offline), you have two weeks to pay your outstanding quote or contact Atlassian to have the site restored before your data will be permanently deleted.

On a different note, the latest dialogue to cancel subscriptions looks like this. It clearly states the impact of your actions.

So for now I guess you have to wait for a response from the Atlassian support to see what they can do. I would be very interested if the two weeks timeframe still applies. Please keep us posted. There is no number for you to call them.

Best, Max

Hi @Richard Dimaandal

Did you manage to get your data back ?

Does the two weeks timeframe still applies or the data are immediately deleted ? @Srinatha T

Thank's !

Hi @Richard Dimaandal ,

Welcome to Atlassian Community.

I think you should be able to restore the pages. Can you try contact the support  and let them know your concern?

In case if you could not connect to support. Let me know, I will check with some one and check what best can be done here.

Thanks,

Srinath T

Hi Srinatha,

Thank you for your response.  Yes, I have already created a support ticket for this yesterday and requested that the pages we have created be restored.

I am just anxious about the lead time as to when this can be completed as those pages are mission critical for my team.

Thanks again.

Kind regards

Richard

Hi @Richard Dimaandal ,

Welcome to the community.

1. Yes. Once your site has been deactivated (i.e. your site has been taken offline), you have two weeks to pay your outstanding quote or contact Atlassian to have the site restored before your data will be permanently deleted.
2. You need to contact Atlassian Support

Thanks Rilwan.  We are up to date with our payments and the next one is not due until next  month.

I have already contacted support so I hope to get an update from them real soon.

Thanks again.

Kind regards

Richard
