Hi.

We've encountered that one of our Confluence pages has performance issues when loading. The page load time is about 25 seconds. It should be noted that we use excerpts on this page.

Also, after several tests, we noticed that this page consumes about 2.5 GB of RAM at its peak.

We also have the same issues with several similar pages.

How can I submit a ticket to Atlassian support to resolve this issue? This is a critical and important issue for us.

Thanks.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I would strongly recommend doing some investigation before approaching Atlassian support.

Specifically:

  • Are your pages large?  (Either a lot of content, or trying to render large images/attachments)
  • Do your pages have lots of macros on them?  You've already mentioned excerpts, those can be a huge culprit, alongside whole-page includes, especially if the includes have their own macros
  • Does it work faster in other browsers?
  • Where do the browser's "developer tools" tell you the page is loading slowly?
  • Is it all pages, or just specific ones?
  • Does it work better for some users than others?  (Specifically, administrators vs non-admins)

How do you know a page "consumes 2.5Gb memory" if you are on Cloud?   You have no access to the "server" to see that.  If you are actually on Server/DC, then are you seeing any errors in the log when people open the page?

If you mean it's 2.5Gb in the browser, then that really suggests your pages are simply far too big (browsers have to download and cache a page in memory)

Hi @Kostiantyn Merkulov welcome to the community.  You can submit a ticket to support at support.atlassian.com/contact.

Does the same issue happen with different browsers?

Hope that helps.
