Hello

We're looking into changing the page width to full width globally for our Confluence Cloud site.

We're running a poll internally, and so far our users are overwhelmingly for the change, which is nice.

Does anyone have some insights to share on this topic?
Any pros or cons, learnings or pitfalls?

Hi @Rune Rasmussen ,

From my experience, I can say I'm more in favor of using fixed width. I've explored using both, but somehow, I prefer fixed width more. When going full width, a page can easily feel overcrowded with the content - especially if you're using a couple of columns in a layout.

I'm maybe thinking of trying full width again once the Confluence team releases a floating table of contents, but again, we'll have to wait and see. 🤔

On the other hand, from what I've seen, it depends on personal preference, but from some statistics I have, more people are using fixed width (among our clients) than full one.

Cheers,
Tobi
