Confluence cloud and Jira server user management

Tushar.Kamble October 7, 2019

Can we have common user management for Confluence Cloud and Jira server application.

When we add jira user in Jira server project, he should able to access Confluence cloud application.

What is other way?

Go to "global permissions" in Confluence, and add the group that allows access to Jira into the permission for using confluence as well.

Thanks Nic,

We are planning to use Jira Server and Confluence cloud(atlassian).. will be same users of Jira can access the Atlassian confluence cloud..or do we need to setup separate user access for each tool?

Please confirm.

Regards,

You will need separate user access for both, although, if you are using an external directory such as LDAP for your Server, you could get Atlassian Access hooked up to it, which can then make them available for Cloud
