Hi,
We are using confluence server version. We have few unused spaces. We want to remove/archive these spaces.
If we remove the spaces, we may loose data for ever. So want to archive the spaces.
Question : will there be any impact on the system by archiving the unused spaces/pages ? If yes, how it will impact the performance of the server.
Thanks in Advance.
Using the space status "archived" you can not archive individual pages, only whole spaces.
To archive individual pages, use the Archiving Plugin.
In both cases, the overall performance of the server will not change drastically. As the data must be kept, the load on the database, on the search index, on the file sytem will be the same.
Thank for your response. We will do Offline archiving and delete the spaces. So it can improve the performance.

We took pages from terminated user's spaces and moved them to other spaces, then deleted the old user's space.

You can always export all pages from space to XML and/or PDF and keep it somewhere in safe place.
