Confluence - User Management - Users - LastActive Date seems "incorrect"

We have approx 300 active users - approx half of them have the last active date set to 9th Nov, including one lady on maternity and one lady on annual leave. Is there some sort of auto process that could have updated this field?

There are some dates still set earlier than 9th Nov, and plenty later (those who use the system on a daily basis)
