Confluence Licensing while migrating the server of same OS.

Hi, I need to migrate Confluence PROD from Win 2008 R2 to Another Win 2008 R2. Can i use same license which was issued for old server or need to contact atlassian to get a new one?

Hi,

The license is not tied to a specific machine, so you are able to have this license in your new server, though Atlassian needs to be informed in case your Server ID is changed, so your existing license can be adjusted. Please take a look at this page for further clarification on this.

If the intention is to have this only temporarily, while performing the migration, please consider generating an Evaluation license, so it can be used in your new server while migrating. After you migrate it and stop using the old server, you could use your existing license in the new server.
