Confluence Knowledge Base - Possible to remove "Spaces" Top Menu

Gerhard Degel October 19, 2015

Hello everyone,

within the template for a Confluence Knowledge Base is it possible to remove the "Spaces" Top Menu (and what need to be changed)? As this space is available for the "world" we do not want that the TopNavigation Menu is being displayed.

Thank you in advance

Gerhard

The Top menu is part of Confluence and not the content, so the templates won't affect it.  It's mostly a necessary part of Confluence too (how do you know what spaces you might use if it's not on the screen anywhere?)

The solution my brain wants to blurt out though:

  • Find/Write an add-on that can provide a Theme, specifically one that does not have the link
  • Apply the new space-free Theme to any spaces that are Knowledge bases
