Confluence Intranet and Extranet with one License?

Deleted user

Hi,

we use Confluence in our Intranet and want to put some of these Data / Spaces to the extranet. But we dont want to put the whole Confluence to the Extranet, just some Spaces. Our first Idea ist to setup a second Confluence and sync some Spaces. But we dont want to buy all Plugin Licenses twice. Is it possible to use one License? The Second Confluence is just to show the Data for Externals. No Login, no one will work with it.

Best Regards

Hi Bastian,

Each license must be used in one instance. If you do not want to buy another license for the plugins and Confluence itself, you can use the evaluation license/trial for a few days and then check which plugins you'll really need on your Internal Confluence.

Kind Regards

It should be possible to do this with a single instance.

- You'd want to [grant public access to a space](https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Setting+Up+Public+Access#SettingUpPublicAccess-Grantingpublicaccesstoaspace) for that specific space that will be for your extranet.

- Configure the networking settings of your infrastructure hosting Confluence to accomodate for independent domain name to map to the same Confluence server host.

We expect to do the same project. The advantage of having 2 instances of confluence, one for the extranet and one for the intranet is that each one could use an independent domain name.... But the presentation of the data on the extranet (sync) with the intranet is no so easy.... could you give me some advises concerning this construction?

Thanks
