Confluence - How to set default page for space

Deleted user October 9, 2017

This seems like it would be simple, but I want to have the default page set for my space, so that if someone goes to www.mysite.com/space/ it will show the overview page, or for that matter any other page that I set. Right now, it goes to the pages page. Which I don't want. In order to make sure the user goes to the overview page, which I have my default content in, I have to tell them to go to the overview page directly. It can't be set as the default. At least as far as I can tell.

Even when I create a page, and set it as the home page, the site defaults to pages. Ugh!

If I am missing something, can someone let me know what to do?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike,

From my understanding, you're not able to set any pages as the Space homepage, is this correct?

Can you have a look at Unable to set a homepage for a Space?  You can see if your overview page is an orphaned page from this link:

http://[your Confluence URL]/pages/listorphanedpages.action?key=SPACEKEY

Kind Regards,
Shannon

It's under Space Admin (for that space) -> Overview -> Space Details, the "home page" setting.
