Confluence - How to set default page for space

This seems like it would be simple, but I want to have the default page set for my space, so that if someone goes to it will show the overview page, or for that matter any other page that I set. Right now, it goes to the pages page. Which I don't want. In order to make sure the user goes to the overview page, which I have my default content in, I have to tell them to go to the overview page directly. It can't be set as the default. At least as far as I can tell.

Even when I create a page, and set it as the home page, the site defaults to pages. Ugh!

If I am missing something, can someone let me know what to do?

Thanks in advance.

It's under Space Admin (for that space) -> Overview -> Space Details, the "home page" setting.

Hi Mike,

From my understanding, you're not able to set any pages as the Space homepage, is this correct?

Can you have a look at Unable to set a homepage for a Space?  You can see if your overview page is an orphaned page from this link:

http://[your Confluence URL]/pages/listorphanedpages.action?key=SPACEKEY

Kind Regards,
