Hi Community,
we are using an internal search engine, indexing via REST and crawling confluence pages for thumbnail generation.
Is there a way to exclude those crawls from a single ip or range from contributing to the view count in confluence analytics? (It is distorting the message)
Thanks and regards
It's the range of IP addresses! (https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/ip-addresses-and-domains-for-atlassian-cloud-products)
Have you been able to resolve this?
Let me know
Thanks
Hi Pramodh,
this applies only to Cloud. We are using Confluence DC 7.13.
So we are still looking for a solution.
Thanks and regards,
Robert

Have you tried tools such as logstash, splunk, or datadog.
May be you will be able to parse the logs and get the necessary information required
Thanks,
Pramodh

Hi @Pramodh M
I do not want to create a separate analytics solution. Simply want to filter out requests from a specific IP address from counting towards the analytics.
So whenever this IP address crawls pages from Confluence, this page view will not be counted when checking the analytics tab in Confluence.
Hope I could explain a bit better now.
Are there plans or could you take it up for development?
Thanks and BR Robert
