Hello Maros,

Thank you for reporting this error to us.

I know of two bugs that could be causing this error for you:

  • CONFCLOUD-56972 Checking/unchecking tasks very fast on a page gives error
  • CONFCLOUD-65366 Checking tasks on newly created Software Project spaces are not working

If you aren't sure whether either of those is affecting you, please let me know and I can raise a support ticket for you so we can take a look at your server logs.

Regards,

Shannon

Hi Shannon,

First of all thanks for your interest to help me.

CONFCLOUD-56972 & CONFCLOUD-65366 are not applicable for my problem.

Below is detailed description how I get in to the problem.

1. I tried to show colleague of mine how easy is to create a task in Confluence so I've created it.

2. I let it unchecked. Then I went to the page history and restored page to the older version where task hasn't been created yet.

After that problematic task wasn't present/visible on the page but still has been presented in the Task Report macro.

I tried to restore more older version of the page but it didn't help at all.

I tried to remove the macro and insert it from the scratch but with no success.

Maybe one important thing is that I'm not sure if  published the page between step 1 and 2.

Hi Maros,

Thank you for confirming that.

It sounds like there's a duplicate task stuck in your database. Does checking off the task in the Task Report Macro solve your issue?

If not, what if you were to restore to the version of the page that has the task, and check it off or manually remove it from the page instead of reverting to a task-less version?

Otherwise, I'll have to raise a ticket for you so we can modify your database. So let me know if you have any trouble and I can take care of that for you.

Regards,

Shannon

Hello Shannon,

Does checking off the task in the Task Report Macro solve your issue? NO

If not, what if you were to restore to the version of the page that has the task, and check it off or manually remove it from the page instead of reverting to a task-less version? Tried this action without success.

Otherwise, I'll have to raise a ticket for you so we can modify your database.  Please perform this action.

Hi Maros,

Thank you for confirming that. So it seems that it's an issue only with the legacy editor, and is fixed in the new editor. Glad that Janice was able to help apply the workaround to your site!

Take care, and have a pleasant rest of your week.

Regards,

Shannon
