Closing mark-up tags

Darryl Godden August 22, 2017

I'm running a test on Confluence, so I'm new!

I'm trying to create a form on a template, I'm adding the @ symbol, typing the name of the field and then trying to close the field by typing another @ symbol, however I can't seem to get out of the field, so to speak, pressing returns seems to add another @ symbol and tabbing or arrow keying seems to remove the field from the mark-up.

Here's an example:

Hi Daryl,

Are you sure you are using the right markup? Usually @ refers to mentions, so you can reference a person's name in the page. The markup for template variables is $variable_name, where the name of the variable begins with a dollar sign ($).

I can't find the help page where this information was read now! But of course you're right, thanks.
