Carousel needs to be accessible

Hello!

We are using the handy carousel option and it is not accessible to some of our users. Here are a couple of issues:

• The visible focus indicator is not always visible for the forward and back buttons
• The forward and back buttons have names of "number same page link" which does not convey to screen reader users what their functions are
• The individual images cannot be accessed via keyboard-only to view them larger
• The individual images' alt text can be read via screen reader, but it is challenging to navigate to them and read the alt text via screen reader.

Is making the carousel more accessible on the roadmap?
