Hi Nivedita,

unfortunately, this is not possible by default or only very basic (sorting for example) and so requires the use of a third-party app. What I can highly recommend is the app Table Filter and Charts for Confluence by StiltSoft. Have been using it internally a lot and for our app documentation etc.. So if you really like to have advanced filters maybe give that a try. And make sure to have a look around on the Atlassian Marketplace as there are other apps available enhancing Confluence tables as well.

Best, Max

Hi Max,

Can you suggest any free plugins in marketplace for the above query?

Thanks,

Nivedita

Hey Nivedita,

looking at the Atlassian marketplace and the offered free Confluence Cloud apps dealing with tables - No, I can't. You will have to make use of one of the available paid apps. :/

Best, Max

Hi Max,

Tried the Table Filter and Charts for Confluence by StiltSoft. Seems good.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Is there a plugin that does both - table filters as well as mathematical calculations ?

Hi Nivedita,

Table Filter and Charts can do mathematical calculations:

  1. Table Filter macro can output Total column and row.
  2. Pivot Table macro aggregates and calculates data.
  3. Table Transformer can perform complex calculations using formulas.

Hi Andrey,

One more query. Is it possible to select specific column / row for performing mathematical calculation?  Or will this perform math calculations for all the rows and columns ?

Hi Nivedita,

Yes it is possible:

  • Table Transformer macro is the most flexible solutions among these: you can use certain columns to perform calculations for certain rows.
  • Pivot Table macro calculates all rows for selected columns.
  • Table Filter macro calculates total row for selected columns, but total column is calculated for all numerical columns.

All these solutions can be combined with Table Filter macro, so you can filter out irrelevant rows and columns and perform calculations on the rest of table.

Hi Andrey Khaneev ,

Can we select specific rows for calculations without applying filter? Like we do in Excel?
